The short version

CritterCost is a static reference site. You don't create an account, you don't log in, and we don't ask you for personal details. We don't sell your data. The main way information is collected here is through standard advertising and analytics tools, described below.

Advertising and analytics

We use Google AdSense to show ads and Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful. These tools use cookies and similar identifiers, and they may collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you visit, to measure traffic and, for advertising, to show relevant ads. This processing is handled by Google under Google's own policies.

Your consent and choices

Where the law requires it, including under the EU and UK GDPR and various US state privacy laws, we show a consent message before non-essential cookies load, and you can accept or decline. You can change your choice at any time through the consent control on the site.

You can also manage or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can control personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings. What we don't do

We don't run user accounts, we don't build our own marketing profiles of you, and we don't sell or rent your information to anyone. Any data collected through the advertising and analytics tools above is governed by those providers' policies, linked above.
